Joseph TuckersearchHIV Q&A

Answered by Dr. Joseph Tucker

This is an important question, especially in light of the fact that many HIV-infected individuals have had lengthy delays in getting access to lifesaving antiretroviral therapy well after treatment was available to non-marginalized groups. I see three key factors to ensure that the most vulnerable and marginalized HIV-infected populations would be able to access a future HIV cure: 1) multi-sectoral partnerships in order to nurture an environment that values cure access to vulnerable and marginalized groups ; 2) engagement of vulnerable and marginalized HIV-infected populations in HIV cure research; 3) continued advocacy organized by community-based organizations, civil society, and other groups.

The government will promote the process, and the related non-profitable organizations will try their best. Besides, a majority of people who with HIV are paying attention to the related develpment, they will also try their best to be treated. A blog is recommended here for taht there will be the latest trend of HIV cure http://www.bocsci.com/blog/
