2015 is looking to be an eventful year in HIV and HIV cure research! Below, we’ve compiled a list of some of the upcoming workshops, conferences, and other events related to HIV cure research. The searcHIV team is looking forward to the exciting year ahead!

  • On February 21st and 22nd the 5th International Workshop on HIV & Women will be held in Seattle, WA
  • Beginning in March (and running until October 2015) is the CUREiculum Webinar Series. CUREiculum is a collaborative project involving CARE, AVAC, and the Martin Delaney Collaboratory Community Advisory Boards (CABs). The aim of the project is to make HIV cure research science more accessible to the community and the HIV research field. Webinar topics will include: Stakeholder Engagement, Latency Reversing Agents, Early Antiretroviral Treatment, Basic Science and Translational Research, Measuring the HIV Reservoir, Therapeutic Vaccines and Immune-Based Therapies, Informed Consent, Gene Therapy, Ethics, Participation in HIV Cure Research, and Animal Models. Webinar details and dates are forthcoming.

Of special interest to those focusing on HIV cure-related research, the event will feature the 2015 Towards an HIV Cure Symposium on July 18th and 19th

  • The Conference on Cell and Gene Therapy for HIV Cure will be held August 13-14 in Seattle, WA.

    Hey! You forgot the Conference on Cell and Gene Therapy for HIV Cure to be held August 13-14, 2015 on the campus at Fred Hutch. Nobel laureate David Baltimore is the keynote speaker. Could you add this one to your list? Thanks!
