Amanda Crooks is a clinical research associate at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.S. degree in biology and has worked with the HIV Cure Program under Dr. David Margolis since December 2010. Amanda began her work at UNC with acute HIV clinical trials and is now working on eradication studies as well. She plans to pursue her M.D. Outside of infectious disease research, Amanda is very committed to her volunteer work with an animal rescue group in Durham.
