kimberly-editKimberly M. Knight is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. Currently, she’s pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Health at Liberty University. She earned Bachelor’s Degrees from North Carolina Central University in Family & Consumer Sciences concentrating Family & Community Services and Sociology and Child Development &Family Relations from East Carolina University. She is an Ambassador of the North Carolina AIDS Action Network Women’s Empowered Team which works directly with the Greater Than AIDS program for Alicia Key’s Empowered Initiative. She has volunteered with the Alliance of AIDS Services-Carolinas, Inc. and a co-chair of World AIDS Day program for Wake County. This platform has made her a sought after speaker at various universities, women’s conferences, and faith-based events about HIV/AIDS Awareness. She is the owner of Knight-Moore Inspirations, LLC™ a dedicated organization built on the platform of HIV/AIDS Awareness and promoting inspirational literary works. Knight-Moore Inspirations, LLC now is currently promoting the “Red is the New Black” College Tour for its 3rd year to surrounding North Carolina Universities with planned events in partnership with UNC-Charlotte, North Carolina Central University, and East Carolina University so far. Her blog is entitled The Lux Blog™ that discusses art, culture, entertainment, and style for North Carolina. She is a Contributing Writer for Sheen Magazine and a Contributing Blogger NoveeRose.com. She has been red carpet press for the 2015 Lamplighter Awards, 2016 Black Girls Rock Awards, 2016 Women’s Empowerment, Sheen Magazine’s Legendary Weekend, and Art of Cool Festival. She was the Co-Creator of the “Red is the New Black” Fashion Show with Dr. Allison Matthews of UNC’s #2BeatHIV Project. Her story of courage, faith, and personal strength has been a powerful testimony of forgiveness.
